UNDERGRADUATE, MASTER OR DOCTORATE
STUDENT (TEMPORARY VISA IV)
This kind of visa is issued
to foreign citizens travelling to Brazil to undertake university studies in a
Brazilian institution recognized by the Brazilian Ministry of Education.
DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS
A – Passport valid for a minimum of six months or the duration of the visa,
whichever is longer.
B – Application form (2 copies) duly completed
and signed.
C – Two recent 3 x 4 cm photographs
D – Proof of enrolment in an educational institution in Brazil.
Duration of course must be indicated.
E – Certificate of residence in Palestinie for the last twelve months issued by
the
Palestinian municipal
authorities (original)
F – Proof of availability of sufficient funds for self-maintenance for the
duration of
stay in
Brazil (US $500.00 per month) or scholarship
G – Certificate of good behaviour issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Justice
(original)
H – Valid international yellow fever vaccination certificate, if visitor has
been to
some African or South American
countries within three months prior to
entering Brazil. A
list of these countries will be provided upon request.

PLEASE NOTE THAT
Visas are valid for arrival in Brazil within 90 days from the date of issuance.
Maximum duration of the VITEM-IV visa is one year. Extensions can be applied for
at the Department of Federal Police, in Brazil, at least 30 days before the visa
expires. Applications for extensions must be accompanied by a school report from
the Brazilian educational institution in which the applicant has been enrolled
in addition to proof of enrolment for the following school term. VITEM-IV
holders who are to stay in Brazil for more than 90 days MUST register in person
at the Department of Federal Police in Brazil within the first 30 days after
their arrival.
A copy of the visa
application form must be submitted to the Police authorities. Pertinent
inquiries should be addressed to the Representative Office of Brazil.
Applications for Temporary Visa IV can only be submitted in the consular
district in which the applicant has lived for the last twelve months. |
