PERMANENT VISA 


Marriage to a Brazilian citizen or permanent resident

A foreign citizen married to a Brazilian citizen or to an alien with a permanent residence permit to Brazil may apply for a permanent visa at the Representative Office of Brazil in Ramallah. The visa application and the pertinent documentation must be lodged at the Representative Office of Brazil.

Minimum required documentation includes:

SPOUSE’S BRAZILIAN DOCUMENTS

A – Identity card

      If the spouse is Brazilian, the required document is the “Carteira de
      Identidade Civil”. If the spouse is a resident alien, the required
      document is the “Carteira do Registro Nacional de Estrangeiros”.

B – Statement in Portuguese assuming responsibility for the applicant’s
      maintenance in Brazil. (termo de responsabilidade e manutenção)
      This statement must be either legalised by the Representative Office of Brazil, or
      sworn before a notary public.



APPLICANT'S DOCUMENTATION

D – Passport, which will be photocopied and returned to the applicant

E – Three passport size photographs (front view)

F – Birth certificate (international model)

G – Marriage certificate issued  in Brazil

H – Certificate of good behaviour (international model)

I – Certificate of residence in Palestine (international model)



PLEASE NOTE THAT


1 – All Brazilian documents must be originals or notarized copies. All non-Brazilian
      documents must be notarized and have the signature of the notary public
      recognized by a Brazilian Consulate or Embassy, with payment of the appropriate
      fees.

 
2 – Once all the necessary documentation is received, the Representative Office of
       Brazil must submit the application to the appropriate Brazilian authorities and
       receive authorization to grant  the visa. The authorization to grant the visa
       expires within six months from the date of issuance.

 
3 – Arrival in Brazil must occur within 90 days from the date of issuance of the visa.
      Holders of a permanent visa must require an Alien Identity Card (Carteira do
      Registro Nacional de Estrangeiros) at a Federal Police office within 30 days of
      arrival in Brazil.
